FAQ

These FAQs are designed to help you understand the full senior portrait experience, from planning your session to designing artwork for your home.

  • How Do I Book a Consult?

Click the “Book a Consult” button in the upper right-hand corner of the website to schedule your consultation.

I recommend booking once you have a general idea of when you’d like your senior portraits so we can secure the best available date. Please ensure a parent will be present for this call.

  • Do You Pick the Location?

The Senior Experience allows you to choose your location. All locations within a 30 minute radius are included in the session fee (anything beyond is an additional travel fee). I have a list of stunning locations that I am more than happy to suggest if you cannot think of a spot. The Simplicity Senior Session has a set location that is beautiful.

  • How Far Out Do You Book?

Sessions can book out months in advance. Set up a consult once you know the time of year you’d like your portraits so you can secure your session date. Typically, my calendar fills up about one month in advance, sometimes two, but I will occasionally have openings in case we need to get you in sooner.

  • What Products Do You Offer?

At your ordering appointment, you will view your images and design your custom artwork collection.

We offer archival-quality wall art, heirloom senior albums, and custom image boxes, each designed to turn your portraits into tangible artwork for your home.

Every piece is carefully selected and designed with intention so your images are enjoyed daily, not stored away digitally.

  • How Do I Get On the Waitlist for My Grad Year's Senior Team?

Spots sure do fill up quick on the LMP Senior Team! If you would like to be added to the waitlist for your graduation year’s model team waitlist, DM us on Instagram your grad year (20XX) and we will add you to the list!

  • Can I bring any props to my session?

Of course! We love customizing each senior session to the individual, so if you have props that are meaningful to you let’s include them! We will help brainstorm prop ideas that you can consider.

  • What happens if it rains on my session day?

As much as we would like to control the weather, we haven't figured it out just yet! We stay in close contact with you the day before your session to make a judgement call if rain is predicted. If we do get rained out, we will reschedule your session for another day/time as soon as possible.

  • What if I have blemishes the day of my session?

Do not worry! Everyone has days with less than perfect skin. Use some makeup to help cover them up, and our editor will work their magic. You'll never know they were there :)

  • Studio Hours

    Monday - Friday from 9:00am - 5:00pm

We are closed on the weekends to spend time with our families. All phone calls and emails (unless urgent) will be returned during normal business hours.

  • Can I use my images in my school's yearbook?

Of course! You can use any of your purchased images for your yearbook or yearbook ad if your school allows it. If you aren’t sure what is needed for your yearbook, feel free to forward us your yearbook advisor's information. We are happy to help!

  • What Is the Difference Between Senior Model Team & Regular Senior Sessions?

The LMP Senior Team provides the opportunity for group sessions and events throughout the entirety of your senior year, as well as your personal senior session. You meet new friends, receive bonus social media pictures throughout the year, and make so many fun memories. Senior Team applications open every winter for three weeks at the beginning of the year. A regular senior session is for someone who desires to have a senior experience that is compromised only of their individual senior session.

  • My school has a contracted photographer we have to use for the yearbook. Do I have a choice?

That’s a tricky question. Some schools have an “official photographer”. Discount school contract photographers pay a commission to the schools who hire them for the yearbook. Yes, at some schools you are required to be photographed by them for the yearbook drape / tux shot or the cap and gown to be included in the yearbook. But you are not required to purchase those images. That's fine for the yearbook. But for your custom portraits, the ones you've been waiting all this time for, the ones you give to family and friends, and of course, the ones you display on the wall, you deserve way more than that school picture. Seniors and parents who want quality, variety and the best senior experience around come to Leena Marie Photography!

  • When will my session take place?

We reserve afternoons and mornings for senior sessions on select weekdays. We will book your session during the season of your choosing and based upon available dates. We will meet right on location for your session.

  • Do I have to decide what I want for portraits before my session?

No. That is exactly what your Session Premiere ordering appointment is for.

After your session, I will guide you through selecting your favorite images and designing your custom artwork collection. You’ll be able to see everything first before making any decisions.

You deserve to feel beautiful.
